Our planned half-day Spanish immersion preschool for ages 3–5 combines meaningful language learning with purposeful play, strong English literacy foundations, and teaching shaped around each child.
We want children to grow as confident communicators, curious thinkers, and increasingly independent learners—with adults who know when to offer support and when to let them try.
Planned hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. Join our interest list for updates as the preschool develops.

Meaningful Spanish through play and daily routines, alongside explicit English phonics and early literacy.
Hands-on exploration supported by thoughtful teaching in mathematics, science, language, and the arts.
Small groups, close observation, and individual learning journeys help teachers respond to each child’s next steps.
Stories, songs, routines, play, and conversation will give children repeated opportunities to hear and use Spanish meaningfully. Vocabulary and communication will build intentionally over time.
Our model includes explicit English phonics and early literacy alongside Spanish immersion, supporting children’s transition into English-medium kindergarten while they develop another language.
Children will investigate, build, imagine, create, and move. Teachers will extend that play with purposeful questions, vocabulary, resources, and small-group teaching in mathematics, literacy, science, and the arts.
Teachers will use everyday observations, a rotating focus-child cycle, and individual learning journeys to understand strengths and emerging needs. Shared activities will offer different levels of support and challenge.
Children will have time to attempt, persist, solve problems, and ask for help. Adults will offer carefully judged support that advances the child’s thinking while leaving room for growing independence.
Family knowledge, meaningful examples of learning, and developmental summaries will help connect home and preschool. Assessment will inform teaching through play and interaction, with documentation kept purposeful.
North Carolina Foundations for Early Learning and Development is our primary state-alignment reference. England’s Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Development Matters provide complementary guidance on development, purposeful play, and responsive teaching.
These references will help teachers plan broad opportunities across communication, relationships, physical development, literacy, mathematics, creativity, and investigation. Important learning will be introduced, revisited, and deepened, while each child develops at their own pace.
We plan a rich range of learning experiences and adapt our teaching to help each child build on what they know, develop new skills, and grow in confidence. Teachers will use what they notice in play and conversation to decide what a child needs next, rather than expecting every child to meet every goal at the same time.
